West Bengal is located on the east coast of India with the Bay of Bengal in the south and shares its international border with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The state has India’s 2nd largest metro rail network and 3rd largest road coverage. The state is also well connected globally with Haldia and Kolkata ports and an international airport in Kolkata. West Bengal has witnessed 10.6% industrial growth in 2015-16, higher than national growth (7.3%) and 6.97% growth of Index of Industrial Production. It is also the first state to achieve 100% implementation of Business Reforms Action Plan 2017.
