About Common Infrastructure for Industrial Parks

The total number of Industrial Parks/ Estates/ Clusters/ Nodes identified by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is 3376. In 2018, the Industrial Park Rating System was launched by Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) to assess quality of infrastructure in industrial parks. All industrial parks will be ranked in 2020-21. Under NIP, an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 306,732 crore would be made by both central and states government over 2020-2025 for industrial infrastructure. There are 25 projects identified to be implemented by the Centre during the period. The estimated capital expenditure for this period is Rs 69,750 crore. Most of the projects identified will be implemented through the EPC mode.
