M/s. Ankur Biochem Private Limited is proposing 200 KLPD Grain based Distillery along with 5.0 MW of Co-Generation Power Plant at Village Ghusra, Tehsil Mejhia, District Bankura [West Bengal]. Total plant area is 18 acres.

Project Impact
The�modern agro based industrial project�shall help farmers in the region to get maximum return for their produce. Taking in to consideration the increasing demand for alcohol all over the world as well as in the country,�the firm is�setting-up a grain based distillery project to produce potable and industrial grade alcohol using grains such as corn and rice as feedstock. As alcohol produced from grains is supposed to be of very high quality and fetches higher price, it is assumed that most of the alcohol produced would be sold to potable liquor industry. It is also possible to produce anhydrous alcohol production from grains may not become economically attractive.
